This level to gently rolling 2.92 Acres is nestled in the rolling hills of Huerfano County, in Southern Colorado, next to the Rocky Mountains, a short distance from the historic Santa Fe Trail. Several homes have been built in the Rio Cucharas subdivision, the nearest is about a quarter-mile away at this time. The closest town is Walsenburg, about 10 minutes away, which has most services and necessities. The town of Walsenburg also has a great new swimming pool with a large water slide. The Taos Valley and Wolf Creek ski and snowboard areas are the closest that I know of from here and are a couple of hours away. San Isabel National Forest is just half an hour from here and has tens of thousands of acres of public land with wildlife and places to hike, ride horses, mountain bike, etc.
