It's Go Time Sunday, March 22, 2009 - 'Fed to pump another $1 trillion into U.S. economy.' The Federal Reserve sharply stepped up its efforts to bolster the economy on Wednesday, announcing that it would pump an extra $1 trillion into the financial system. There are clear indications that the Fed is taking risks that could dilute the value of the dollar and set the stage for future inflation. Even though the Fed has been creating money at the fastest rate in its history, much of that money has remained dormant but that will not last. { Taken in part from the International Herald Tribune} These inflationary policies will not be a quick fix. They will cause eventual inflation in the system.The uglier things get in the short term, in other words, the better things look for long-term investors who have positioned themselves for the inevitable inflationary aftermath of our nation's reckless monetary and fiscal policy.
