BENNETTSVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA

WALLACE LAKE

Lake Wallace is a 550-acre lake known for great fishing and maintained by the SC Department of Natural Resources. Public access is through several boat ramps and fishing piers. The beauty of Lake Wallace is reason enough to stop by. Lake Wallace is a quite wet place ordinarily with a large amount of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July; November meanwhile is the driest month. High temperatures at Lake Wallace through the summer are in the 90's with nighttime lows in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Lake Wallace are in the 20's. You'll meet a lot of people from Bennettsville here, and Econo Lodge Cheraw is a perfect location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Cheraw State Recreation Area is a great location to camp, and unsurprisingly Lilly Quick Creek is a striking stream that is worth a visit.
